My Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies
Just when you think you have a favorite chocolate chip cookie…a new one comes a long! This recipe is insane and the cookies are crazy good! I like to chill this dough for an hour to keep them nice and thick. These have the perfect texture, flavor and consistency! Also a great ratio of chocolate to cookie! Give them a try—-with a chocolate chip cookie, you really can’t go wrong now can you? I hope My Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies become your favorite, too!

I LOVELOVELOVE chocolate chip cookies and will try this one for sure! My one and only tiny little tweak? Try browning the butter. I learned this trick years ago on ATK, and IMO, it’s worth the effort. Let me know what you think!

I reversed the brown and white sugars. We like the flavor more that way. Also just by chance, this time I did not have the full amount of vanilla extract, so I substituted the balance with almond extract. For a spur of the moment change, it gave the cookies a really good flavor.

the change in oven temp would use so much energy though. We have an all electric apt 🙁 . What does it do for the bake?

I tripled the recipe and got 60 cookies out of it using a 1 inch scoop. To me they were like a small/medium cookie. However mine came out thicker than these look and didn’t brown like them but they were still yummy.
