New York Style Crumb Cake
Mile High Crumbs
  • 4 sticks butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 T. cinnamon
  • 4½ c. flour
Cake Layer
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 box instant vanilla pudding
  • ⅓ c. oil
  • 1 c. water
Mile High Crumbs
  1. Electric mix butter until creamy.
  2. Add sugar and cinnamon and beat well.
  3. Slowly add flour and combine well.
  4. Break into large crumb pieces with your hands and lay on a plate.
  5. When the cake goes in the oven, chill the crumbs for 20 minutes.
  1. Mix all ingredients until well blended.
  2. Line 9x13 pan with nonstick foil and spread in the batter.
  3. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven and let sit just 2 mins.
  5. Slowly and carefully lay the crumbs on the cake and mound them up!
  6. Bake 20 more minutes.
  7. Let cool and then cut/dust with powdered sugar!
