Witch Finger Cookies
 
Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter, room temp
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2¾ cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Red gel frosting
  • whole blanched almonds (boil almonds 60 seconds if you need to remove the skins yourself)
Instructions
  1. Beat butter and sugar.
  2. Beat in the egg and vanilla.
  3. Slowly add flour, baking powder and salt.
  4. Roll into 1-inch balls.
  5. Then roll them into 3 inch long ropes and place fingers on a baking sheet.
  6. Use a knife to slice the knuckles 3 times and shape into a finger.
  7. Press down a spot on the ends for the nail bed.
  8. Freeze cookies 30 mins.
  9. Bake at 350 10-14 minutes.
  10. Once cool, add frosting on nail bed and press on an almond for the nail!
