Epic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  

Cookie Ingredients

  • 1 ½ sticks soft butter
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup regular sugar
  • 1 T. vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 ¼ cups flour
  • ½ tsp. kosher salt
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • 1 cup Ghirardelli mini chips 3/4 cup combo of bittersweet Ghiradhelli chips and Ghirardelli Milk chocolate chips.
  • Coarse Maldon salt
  • Optional: Reese's Pieces

Instructions
 

Cookie Directions

  • Beat butter and sugars.
  • Add vanilla, egg, yolk.
  • Add dry ingredients.
  • Add chips.
  • Shape into 2 ounce mounds. (Can roll and dimple for texture)
  • Chill at least 25 mins in freezer or longer in fridge.
  • When ready to bake, preheat oven to 425.
  • Lay cookies on parchement, place in oven and immediately lower to 375.
  • Bake approx 12 mins.
  • Remove and top with reese's pieces and sea salt
