Artichoke Gouda Tart

Ingredients
  

  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry thawed
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 T. sesame seeds
  • black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded gouda cheese
  • 1 cup shredded fontina cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh basil
  • 3 cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 jar 14 ounce marinated artichokes, drained
  • honey for drizzling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 425° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll one sheet of puff pastry out a bit and lay on the parchment.
  • Brush the edges with the beaten egg.
  • Cut the second sheet into 4 (1/2 inch) wide strips and stick them on the permieter of the first sheet to create a raised "crust."
  • Brush more egg on the strips and sprinkle on sesame seeds and black pepper.
  • Use a fork to prick the inside of the pastry.
  • In the center, lay the basil & garlic.
  • Then sprinkle the cheeses over top.
  • Lay on the artichokes and give a light drizzle of honey over the top.
  • Freeze 10 mins.
  • Bake 25-30 minutes until cheesy and golden!
