Artichoke Gouda Tart
Artichoke Gouda Tart is a fabulous appetizer loaded with garlic, 2 cheeses, fresh basil and marinated artichokes. I made this for my family an we loved it. I can’t wait to make it for company! You may also love Skillet Spinach Artichoke Dip!
Artichoke Gouda Tart
Ingredients
- 2 sheets frozen puff pastry thawed
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 T. sesame seeds
- black pepper
- 1 cup shredded gouda cheese
- 1 cup shredded fontina cheese
- ¼ cup chopped fresh basil
- 3 cloves garlic chopped
- 1 jar 14 ounce marinated artichokes, drained
- honey for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425° F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll one sheet of puff pastry out a bit and lay on the parchment.
- Brush the edges with the beaten egg.
- Cut the second sheet into 4 (1/2 inch) wide strips and stick them on the permieter of the first sheet to create a raised "crust."
- Brush more egg on the strips and sprinkle on sesame seeds and black pepper.
- Use a fork to prick the inside of the pastry.
- In the center, lay the basil & garlic.
- Then sprinkle the cheeses over top.
- Lay on the artichokes and give a light drizzle of honey over the top.
- Freeze 10 mins.
- Bake 25-30 minutes until cheesy and golden!
