Cook bacon in a skillet until crisp. Remove, cool and chop. Wipe out excess bacon fat leaving only a teaspoon or two in the skillet. Add 1 Tablespoon butter and 1 T. olive oil.
Add scallops and sear on both sides. Remove to a plate. Do in two batches if needed using an additional Tablespoon of butter for batch 2.
Add another Tablespoon of butter to skillet. Add shallots and sauté a few minutes.
Add garlic for just a minute.
Pour in wine a little at a time letting it cook down a bit.
Add broth and let simmer 5 mins.
Add cream. Stir. Lay broccolini on top and cover to steam it a few mins.
Add scallops to pan and the pasta.
Top with crumbled bacon.
