Seared Filet Mignon

Ingredients
  

  • 4 filet minons season with salt/pepper/garlic powder
  • 1 T. olive oil
  • 4 T. butter
  • 4 garlic cloves smashed

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven 425℉
  • Heat oil in a cast iron skillet until HOT.
  • Add filets and cook undisturbed for 2 mins each side.
  • Remove from heat and add butter/garlic.
  • Spoon the melted butter over the filets.
  • Bake 6-8 mins or until 140-145 for medium.
  • Let rest, covered, before slicing.
