Red Velvet Oreo

Ingredients
  

  • ¾ cup + 2 T. salted butter softened
  • ¼ c. light brown sugar
  • ½ c. granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla bean paste extract
  • red gel food -eyeball it
  • 1 tsp. vinegar
  • 2 ⅓ c. All‑purpose flour 300 grams
  • 3 T. Cocoa powder 18 grams
  • ½ tsp. kosher salt
  • tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • ¼ tsp. baking soda
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips
  • ½ c. milk chocolate chips
  • 1 c. white chocolate chips
  • Chopped Oreos 75 grams or 1/2 cup
  • Plus extras for topping the cookies after they are baked

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven 350.
  • Cream butter and sugars.
  • Add eggs and vanilla, beat. Add food gel and vinegar.
  • Add flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder, cornstarch, and baking soda to form dough.
  • Fold in chips and Oreos.
  • Scoop into 4 ounce mounds, roll into balls then poke with fingers for a textured look.
  • Bake 12-14 minutes.
  • Use a cookie cutter to shape them while warm and top with extra goodies..
