These cookies are outrageous. Fabulous flavor, nice & thick and not overly sweet! A huge hit with everyone!

Red Velvet Oreo
Ingredients
- ¾ cup + 2 T. salted butter softened
- ¼ c. light brown sugar
- ½ c. granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla bean paste extract
- red gel food -eyeball it
- 1 tsp. vinegar
- 2 ⅓ c. All‑purpose flour 300 grams
- 3 T. Cocoa powder 18 grams
- ½ tsp. kosher salt
- 1½ tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- ¼ tsp. baking soda
- ½ cup dark chocolate chips
- ½ c. milk chocolate chips
- 1 c. white chocolate chips
- Chopped Oreos 75 grams or 1/2 cup
- Plus extras for topping the cookies after they are baked
Instructions
- Preheat oven 350.
- Cream butter and sugars.
- Add eggs and vanilla, beat. Add food gel and vinegar.
- Add flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder, cornstarch, and baking soda to form dough.
- Fold in chips and Oreos.
- Scoop into 4 ounce mounds, roll into balls then poke with fingers for a textured look.
- Bake 12-14 minutes.
- Use a cookie cutter to shape them while warm and top with extra goodies..
