Homemade Pickles
Are you a pickle fan? Love them out of the jar, on your burgers and from the famous pickle man at fairs? Me too! My brother told me all about how he made his own pickles. I thought surely that must be difficult but he assured me it was easy. I thought it took weeks or months and knowledge about canning! Nope….sooooo, he talked me into it and now I cannot stop making pickles! These pickles take 10 minutes!!! That’s it and get better and better overnight. I used the 10 minute pickle kit from Amazon. It even comes with the jar! All you need to do is boil vinegar and water, add the spices and pour over your cucumbers. I love making these with mini seedless cucumbers..just the best! I will even share my brother’s famous tip! Add 3 cloves of smashed garlic to the jar if you’re a garlic fan! MMMmmmm!!!!! This kit is great because it comes with refills, too! Then once you use them up they sell just the refill packs! I made so many this week I put some in a larger mason jar, also. Happy Pickling!
