Caramel Thumbprint Cookies
Caramel Thumbprint Cookies are such a yummy little treat! A buttery, sweet cookie topped with caramel and a chocolate drizzle. Perfection, especially with a cup of coffee or tall glass of milk. You can mix up the centers on these cookies, too. You can fill some with jam or nutella. Even the addition of a white chocolate drizzle would look beautiful!
Caramel Thumbprint Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- ⅔ cup sugar
- 2 yolks
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- 2 ¼ flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- caramel sauce
- ½ c. melted chocolate
Instructions
- Beat butter and sugar.
- Add yolks and vanilla.
- Add flour and salt.
- Chill 30 mins.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
- On ungreased cookie sheet, place balls 2 inches apart. Press thumb into each ball, forming indentation.
- Bake 8-10 minutes or until set.
- Press on indent again if needed.
- Fill with caramel and add chocolate drizzle.
