Cornflake Marshmallow Cereal Bars
Ingredients
Malty Cornflakes
- 290 g Cornflakes
- 170 g Melted Butter
- 70 g Caster Sugar whole foods sells
- 70 g Horlicks I found on Amazon
- ¼ tsp Salt
Cereal Bar Base
- 250 g food processed Malty Cornflakes
- 50 g food processed graham crackers
- 90 g Melted Butter
- 40 g Golden Syrup I bought Lyle's
Topping
- 300 g White Chocolate use good white chocolate
- 40 g Butter
- ½ tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Vanilla
- 300 g Mini Marshmallows
- 150 g food processed Malty Cornflakes
- 75 g Malty Cornflakes (not processed)
- 75 g Sprinkles
Instructions
Make Malty Cornflakes
- To make the malty cornflakes, put cornflakes in a large bowl. Pour the melted butter over and coat them well. Sprinkle on the caster sugar, horlicks and salt tossing well. Pour onto parchment lines cookie sheet and bake 10 mins at 350℉. Let cool!
Cereal Bar Base
- Line a 10” square tin with nonstick foil.
- Melt butter and golden syrup together in the microwave. Combine with the processed cornflakes and graham crumbs.
- Push into the pan and chill.
Filling
- Melt the butter and white chocolate together in microwave gently.
- Stir in the vanilla, salt & marshmallows until the mixture becomes stringy.
- Add the malty cornflakes and the sprinkles, stirring well.
- Spread onto the chilled base evenly.
- Top with more marshmallows, malty cornflakes & sprinkles pressing gently so they stick.
- Place into the fridge for a few hours. Cut and enjoy!
