When I saw this on my blogger buddy’s blog, I knew I had to make it! Oh, Bite It is a blog definitely worth checking out but bring some napkins because it is majorly drool worthy!!!! These cookies are every bit as delish as they sound. And with syrup on top? Well, we may as well just call it breakfast! Cookies for breakfast? I’m in!
French Toast Cookies With Maple Syrup
3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup soft butter
1/2 cup Pure Maple Syrup
1 Egg
1 cup sugar with a nice amount of cinnamon stirred in!
In a mixer, beat butter and sugar. Pour in egg and syrup and combine. Add flour slowly just until worked in and forms a dough. Roll dough into Tablespoon sized balls and roll in cinnamon sugar. Place on parchment lined sheets and flatten cookies a bit with the bottom of a glass. Bake at 350 for about 10 minutes. Serve warm with more syrup!

These cookies turned out wonderfully, a little tough to work with the super sticky doe, but it was worth it! They taste just like french toast when covered with maple syrup, and without, they have just the faintest hint of maple syrup which is wonderful! I didn’t have any cinnamon sugar, but next time I’ll be sure to add it. Thanks so much for the recipe !
Happy Holidays,
Ash
