French toast is about to get very dangerous with this recipe! The tart itself contains maple syrup. The real stuff-no Aunt Jemima allowed here! Then, it is served warm with vanilla bean ice cream and some more syrup drizzled on. Dig in, my friends!
French Toast Cookie Tarts With Maple Syrup & Ice Cream
3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup soft butter
1/2 cup Pure Maple Syrup
1 cup sugar with a nice amount of cinnamon stirred in!
In a mixer, beat butter and sugar. Pour in egg and syrup and combine. Add flour slowly just until worked in and forms a dough. Press dough into mini tart pans. Sprinkle generously with the cinnamon sugar. Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream and more maple syrup!
