This special little cookie is easy to prepare and can be filled with all sorts of yummies! Try jams, chocolate chip or even nutella!
Hamantaschen
Ingredients
- Recipe from Nick Malgieri
- 1 stick butter
- ¼ C sugar
- 1 yolk
- A splash of vanilla
- 1 ¼ c. cake flour
Instructions
- Mix butter & sugar.
- Add yolk and vanilla.
- Add flour.
- Roll on floured board and cut circles.
- Place a tsp. of jam in the center of each and fold up the sides. Use water to seal the edges.
- Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes.
- (works well with Cup4Cup gluten free flour, too)

I am guessing that you would add the cake flour to the mixture, but it isn’t mentioned. I fear that inexperienced bakers might try to put that flour on the board, and try to roll out the mixture. Folks who don’t bake much and don’t know, might not be able to figure out to do because this step is left out. Just want everyone to be successful in making these. Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas!
