I think this may be the first time I have ever made homemade chocolate pudding. My mom always used the jello brand pudding that you cooked which was delicious! It was always way better than the instant kind! I thought it would be fun to make a homemade version and it sure was easy! As you can see, my youngest guy gobbled this up!!! As for my other son, he only wanted to know why I didn’t make vanilla pudding! Guess that’s next on the baking list. Can they ever just like the same thing? hee hee

I really want to make this but I don’t have a spring form pan. Any suggestions?

I make homemade chocolate pudding and have for a few years now. I’ve always made vanilla pudding for my banana pudding and banana creme pie (which are actually custards), but I’d never made chocolate until a couple of years ago. Anyway, I use a mix of white and brown sugars, and I use the egg whites to make meringue and bake the pudding with meringue topping for a few minutes to brown it up. So good. I might have to make chocolate pudding this weekend!
