2 pounds strawberries, washed/hulled and crushed in a food processor
4 cups sugar
Combine sugar and berries in a deep, heavy bottomed pot and cook on low to melt the sugar. Once dissolved, raise the heat to high and bring to a full boil! Stir often until it reaches 210-220 degrees on a candy thermometer. If you like it extra thick, let it go an extra couple of minutes. Remove from heat and cool. Store in a glass jar in the fridge and enjoy.
