After years of delicious banana bread recipes, my son has declared this the best one yet!
Browned Butter Banana Bread
Ingredients
- 6 T. butter browned in a skillet
- ¼ cup sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 T. vanilla bean paste
- 4 T. very soft cream cheese
- 1 ½ cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- ½ tsp. baking powder
- pinch kosher salt
- 3 over ripe bananas mashed in a small bowl
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350℉
- Line 9x5 loaf pan with parchment.
- Pour browned butter into a heat proof bowl and stir in sugars.
- Whisk in egg and vanilla. Then add cream cheese.
- Add dry ingredients stirring just until half way incorporated.
- Add mashed bananas and continue to combine.
- Pour into pan and bake 45 mins. Check with a toothpick. Cool.
