Do you recommend serving it right away or chilling it in the refrigerator for a while. With bananas in it, how far in advance (night before?) can I make it and still have it be fresh when served? Thanks.

I’d serve right away!
Darren McArthur says
You dont need the caramel squares its much nicer if ya make the caramel your self. 1-2 tins of condensed milk and boil them for 3 hours in the TIN then allow TIN to cool down before opening. There you go you go the best caramel you will ever eat

I was going to make this today, but didn’t have graham crackers. I did, however, happen to have a pan of brownies made. Guess what happened next???
Hugs & Cookies xoxo says
Oh no you didn’t?! hahahahhahahahaa
Linda Johnson says
Oh, yes, I did. And I think you need to do this. I made it like a trifle. Cut the brownie into bite size squares and layered bananas, the caramel and whipped cream. Topped with crushed brownies and drizzled caramel. OMG! Was a huge hit!

that sounds amazzzzing girl!!!!
Sharon says
Is it ok to use a ready made graham cracker pie crust ????
Hugs & Cookies xoxo says
yes but may not be as good as homemade crust 🙂
Bill says
I have made this nice recipi and its very good But I have noticed one thing that if you want the perfect crust add 1 tsp of water with the butter make into crust and back till light brown then let cool then poor your ingredence and chill or serve right away. This is a dish to die for I have made this for several people. I trouble shoot and I use to be a chef.
Jackie says
How do you keep the bananas from turning brown?
Hugs & Cookies xoxo says
serve right away!
Samantha says
You can also bath them with lemon juice
Sharon says
Can I refrigerate it over night? I just made it and will not be serving it until tomorrow for lunch
Hugs & Cookies xoxo says
sure! I just hope the bananas don’t turn-maybe a bit of lemon juice on them??

I’m going to make this because I love caramel, but I’m going to put some banana pudding on top of the bananas before the caramel. It just looks like it’s missing something, sorry. Thank you for sharing this recipe.
Shirley Schoors says
Thought the same thing. Will either use banana pudding or a french vanilla. Just needs a little something else.
Samantha says
Thanks for the awesome idea! I bake for a buffet on Sundays and I made this my cold dessert. I did make some changes, I mixed a quart of whipped cream with a 4th cup of powder sugar and maybe 2 cups of banana pudding. Instead of a graham cracker crust i cut up half of a 9*13 pan of brownies into bite size pieces and made a trifle. I did 2 layers brownies, banana, carmal then my whip.. it was good Thanks again.

Sounds good! A couple of my fave ingredients. One of the pix is puzzling, though – why are there whole caramels shown in the pic if they’re supposed to be melted in the micro with the butter and milk?
Hugs & Cookies xoxo says
Those are prior to being melted
