Cow Cupcake Cake
This is a cake I made for my Mom’s birthday in 2022. Yes, she loves cute cows. This was a bit tricky to create the cow shape so this is more of a tutorial than a recipe. I used box mix cupcakes for the batter and canned frosting along with neutral liners for the pan. Simple ingredients baked right in the oven! Use the toothpick test to make sure they are fully baked. Of course, you can make it homemade if you prefer with buttercream icing. I used food gels to color the black and the pink but fondant would also work well. Lay your cupcakes on a large board to create your cow (image below so you can copy the layout) and when you are happy with it, place a dab of frosting on the bottom of each so they adhere. I used a piping bag to swirl on the frostings and connect the white cupcakes for the body. For the eyes I used candy eyeballs and the eyelashes I piped with frosting. A speech bubble saying Moo would be a nice addition along with some horns and nostrils.
