Shortcut Mini Apple Pies
This is absolutely delicious when you want a shortcut way to get to eating the apple pie! There is no bottom crust and the top uses a store bought crust. The filling is homemade but can be made days ahead of time!
You may need:
mini Lodge pans
Shortcut Mini Apple Pies
Ingredients
- Trader Joes frozen pie crusts or any store bought crusts you like
- Apple Pie Filling
- sugar
- egg wash 1 egg plus drop water
Instructions
- Roll out defrosted pie crusts and cut squares a drop larger than your mini pans.
- Fill pans with apple pie filling and top with the crust crimping it around the sides.
- Cut 3 slits to vent.
- Brush with egg wash and sprinkle on some sugar.
- Bake at 425 for about 35 minutes on a pan lined with foil to catch any drips.
