Funfetti Sugar Cookies

My oldest son adored these and my little man who doesn’t usually like sugar cookies also enjoyed these! They are perfectly crisp on the edges with soft, chewy centers. Everything a sugar cookie should be. You can change up your sprinkle colors to match different holidays or school events. These would be the start of the show at any bake sale or sporting event. Funfetti Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

  

• 1 cup salted butter soft
• 1 c. granulated sugar
• 2 T. light brown sugar
• 1 egg plus 1 yolk
• 2 tsp. vanilla
• 2 ¾ c. all purpose flour
• ½ tsp. baking soda
• ½ tsp. baking powder
• 1 tsp. kosher salt
• ½ c. sprinkles

Rolling

• extra sugar to roll cookies in
• extra sprinkles for rolling

Instructions

 

• Preheat oven 350.
• Beat butter and sugar until creamy.
• Add eggs and vanilla combining well.
• Slowly add dry ingredients and mix just until blended.
• Fold in the sprinkles.
• Weigh out 3 ounce mounds, press on extra sprinkles and roll in the extra sugar.
• Bake for approx 15 mins and cool.
• This made 11 cookies.
