I first saw this idea from Chin Deep-check out her blog you will love it!!! I thought a walking taco idea was the cutest so I made my favorite chilli recipe (meat only) in the crockpot and then we loaded it up with all the fixins! You can also serve this in the tortilla bowls I used below-super fun, too! Or, good old fashioned taco shells of course!

In Texas, these have been served at local sporting events and burger joints for about 60+ years. The small bag of Fritos was not opened at the top, the bag was sliced open straight down the front, then chili, shredded cheese, onions and sliced jalapenos were added to the top. It was a childhood favorite for many of us. It was a treat to see this again. Here, they called it Frito Pie, but it was served right in the bag.

When my kids were little we would have upside down tacos. Pretty much along the same line as this recipe, but the Frito chips were spread out on a plate and all of the ingredients were put on top with sour cream topping it off.
