You’ll Need:
10 inch loaf pan
Cooling Rack
- 8 Tablespoons salted butter, room temperature
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 over-ripe bananas, mashed
- ¾ cup buttermilk
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- 8 ounces cream cheese, room temp
- 1 egg
- 1T. flour
- ⅓ c. sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Grease a 10 inch loaf pan and set aide.
- Preheat oven 350.
- In a mixer, beat butter and both sugars until creamy.
- Add eggs.
- Add bananas.
- Add flour, cocoa, powder, salt, soda until combined.
- Add buttermilk until smooth.
- Pour half into the loaf pan, top with cream cheese mix, spread rest of batter on top and bake 60 minutes or until puffed and done. Let cool 20 mins in pan. Invert onto a cooling rack to cool completely.
- Beat all together until smooth

You May Also Like This Version Without The Chocolate!
- 6 ounces high quality bittersweet chocolate disks (Ex: E Guittard)
- 4 Tablespoons butter
- ⅓ cup milk
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- Microwave chocolate and butter1 minute.
- Stir in milk and sugar.
- Microwave 1 more minute and stir smooth!
