Cinnamon Roll Casserole

Cinnamon roll casserole is the dreamiest breakfast you can imagine. Perfect for a Christmas morning treat or a birthday breakfast for your loved ones! These cinnamon rolls are reminiscent of my childhood. My mom would always buy them (yup, the ones in the can!) and they were so delish with the white icing in that small tub. Did you grow up with these, too? Do you remember the popping sound when you cracked open the can? Now they are even better baked up into a french toast casserole ….special enough for your favorite company! Warning: Your house will smell absolutely amazing while this bakes in the oven! Your company will certainly love you for this one and may never want to leave your house! What a perfect way to keep your family smiling and well fed!

Am a tad older than you, but I do remember the cinnamon rolls. As well as the turnovers that came out of the tube. As in when they FIRST were available! Maybe early 70’s?Anyway,times were tough, and it was a HUGE treat to have either. Usually on a Saturday morning. Would be so excited to smell the distinct scent those bad boys gave out. Thanks for the yummy upgrade in using them!Happy Holidays!

But I did this recipe and it was more like nas cinnamon omelette. I think it’s too many eggs. I don’t know… maybe will try again, but 2 eggs, I think will be just right, thanks for the recipe

It’ll do just fine overnight. Just pop it back in the oven on warm (170-190) for a few minutes, and leave the icing off ’til you’re about to serve it.

Since the dough isn’t baked yet it will be drier than a bread pudding. But you can bake the cinnamon rolls first then follow the recipe except soak the baked cinnamon rolls that are cut up in the liquid then cook and it would be a bread pudding texture. It is also really yummy to use croissants for bread pudding!

This looks so yummy. Will be making it today. I’m going to add some raisins and shredded coconut too. I think it will be delicious. Also cutting recipe in half. It’s way to much for two people. Just gonna use 8×8 pan. I think it will work out fine.

Cooking for just 2 of us. In an 8×8 how long do you think to cook? I will halve all ingredients

This is crazy good!! Rich and sweet, and a perfect compliment to a savory quiche ????

I made this recipe as written, for breakfast this morning. My husband, son and grandson loved it. They thought the sweetness factor was spot on and not too sweet. I made cheesy scrambled eggs along side, which helped cut down on the sweetness of the French toast. I will definitely make this again in the future. Thanks for sharing

This didn’t quite hit the spot for us. The cinnamon rolls, sure! But there was a base of eggs at the bottom which gave a jarring savory taste that we didn’t care for. If I make it again, will mix the syrup into the eggs and that should work.

I wonder if some of the people that had a base of eggs at the bottom only used one tube of cinnamon rolls. Probably wouldn’t be enough cinnamon rolls to soak up the eggs. I’m wondering about adding a can of apple pie filling–maybe a little at a time. A whole can might be too much.
