Garlic Lemon Shrimp
Garlic Lemon Shrimp is a fabulous dinner with many flavors including some clams, garlic, wine, lemon and parmesan cheese. The addition of orzo makes this a perfect one pan meal with less mess to clean up! This is a great dinner to serve with Best Popovers. You can use the popovers to sop up the delicious sauce!
You may need:
A Large Skillet
Garlic Lemon Shrimp
Ingredients
- 5 T. butter
- 2 T. olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves chopped
- 4 anchovies
- 1 ½ lbs jumbo shrimp peeled/deveined
- 1 c. white wine
- ½ c. chicken broth
- 2 cans chopped clams one with the liquid, one without
- 1 lemon juiced and 1/2 zested
- 1 lemon sliced
- ¼ c. parmigiano reggiano cheese
- heavy cream a splash
- ½ cup orzo
- chopped parsley
- salt/pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt butter and oil.
- Add garlic and anchovies and stir to melt anchovies.
- Add shrimp and cook on both sides then remove to a plate.
- Add wine, broth and clams/clam juice, lemon juice and let simmer.
- add a splash of cream and cheese
- Add orzo and let cook 7-10 mins.
- Return shrimp to pan.
- Add a sprinkle of salt/pepper and top with parsley and lemon slices.
