We have been making these cookies since Dec. 2012 when the photographer who took pix of my newborn grandson offered them as refreshments in her home where she was photographing him. We asked for the recipe and she gave it to us….we call them “Chocolate Chip Crack Cookies”. You just can’t stop eating the darn things!
danielle says
awesome!!
Jessica says
When you measure your flour, do you scoop it with a spoon or dip your measuring cup in your flour? I always scoop it when measuring flour. Some of my sites dip. I’m not using enough flour if they dip their cup
danielle says
I am a dipper bc I am lazy. hahahha
Jessica says

Hi there! I am quite sure that most of you will find my comment weird or just funny, so in an effort to entertain you ladies, here I go : I was wondering about the pudding mix. Do you add the ‘dust’ in the butter – sugar mix, or you prepare the pudding with milk and THEN add it in? I do think that you prepair it, but have to make sure! Please try to keep a straight face and let me know…. I am Greek, not really familiar with US recipies, but I really love trying new stuff!!!
Hugs & Cookies xoxo says
add just the dust as u call it! hee hee!!! 🙂
Cindy says
Don’t feel bad. I was wondering the same thing. And I’ve been baking for years, but some recipes are different. Thank you for asking.
skbennett says
Can you put the whole recipe together, bake half and freeze the other half ?
Hugs & Cookies xoxo says
sure!!!!!
janrt says
When you freeze the dough do you do it in balls or just all together?
Janet
Hugs & Cookies xoxo says
Better to do in ball shapes
Annie says
This was so disappointing. Added packaged, processed pudding “dust” defeats the purpose of making a homemade cookie. Yuck.
Hugs & Cookies xoxo says
So sorry you were disappointed. That’s the first time I have heard that on this recipe.
John says
No it doesn’t Annie. It’s just different. There is still a place for good old toll house cookies. Try something different.
Hugs & Cookies xoxo says
Totally agree! Thanks!
K says
Do you have a modification for high altitude cooking?
Hugs & Cookies xoxo says
I don’t, sorry. Maybe someone else can help with that?
Sandra D says
Could I use sugar free pudding instead?
Vicki says
I made these years ago & used pistachio pudding mix. They come out a lovely light green. Dust the tops with powdered sugar.
Hugs & Cookies xoxo says

Ela says
May I know if you used salted or unsalted butter. I noticed there’s no salt in the ingredients. Thanks.
Hugs & Cookies xoxo says
I always use salted. 🙂
judi says
