S’mores Bars are the best treat ever!
You’ll Need:
Extra Large Hershey Bars
9×13 Pan
Nonstick Foil-I cannot live without this stuff!!!
S'more Bars
Ingredients
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup salted butter, room temp
- 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 4 (4.4 oz) milk chocolate XL Hershey Bars
- 2 (7 oz) jar marshmallow creme
Instructions
- Beat butter and sugars in a mixer until fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla until blended.
- Add flour, graham cracker crumbs, baking soda and salt to form dough.
- Preheat oven to 350 and line a 9x13 pan with nonstick foil.
- Press half dough into bottom.
- Lay chocolate bars on top.
- Spread on marshmallow creme.
- Use rest of dough to cover the marshmallow. Press pieces flat in your hand to completely cover the top like a thin blanket. You want to cover all of the marshmallow. Work slow and take your time on this!

- Cool to room temp before cutting.
- For neat cuts, chill in fridge first.

I just took these out of the oven. I changed a few things – the order – cookie, then marshmallow, then I added a layer of nuts, then chocolate, then cookie, and I used dark chocolate for a little more grownup taste. They smell delicious! I can hardly wait for them to cool!

Should they be kept refrigerated if not being eaten immediately?

I usually store in freezer! Last a while!
Jen says
Can this recipe be cut in half?
Roxi says
I think so, I’m doing it in a 9×9 pan, cut in 1/2. I don’t trust myself with a9x13 pan ????

These are in the oven right now. S’mores are my absolute favorite so I can’t wait to try these!! I thought I would add a little tip for getting the top graham/cookie layer. I put half the dough between waxed paper and used a rolling pin to spread. All I had to lay it on top of the marshmallow and peel off the second side. The repeat for the other side. It overlapped some in the middle but I just smoothed it out and I had to fill in the corners just a bit, but sure made it easy!!
Teri Borho says
So can you make these ahead and store in freezer?
Lyndsey says
I saw a trick before. Take a gallon size bag and put the second half of dough into it and roll it out inside the bag. Cut the two side seems of the gallon bag and place dough on top of marshmallow layer and you’ll have very little left too spread out! 🙂
Also just pulled these out of the oven!

Lyndsey—–YOU are a genius!! I just tried this-amazing trick!! I will add some updated pics and call it the Lyndsey trick!! Thanks so much for sharing!
Marci says
Can you use chocolate chips and marshmallows instead of the chocolate bars and marshmallow cream?
Thank you!
Laura VanDonkelaar says
I have made these twice now and they are such a hit! I did cut the recipe in half and made it in an 8×8 pan with parchment paper. I also cut the dough in half and rolled it out to lay the top half on easily. Also, I didn’t want to buy the Hershey bars because they were crazy expensive at our local grocery store (so weird!!) so I just used milk chocolate morsels but I put the marshmallow cream down first and then the morsels on top. Wayyyyyyy easier then trying to smooth the cream over the morsels!! ????????
Emma Woods says
Can I make these today (Thursday) for a party on Saturday ?
Hugs & Cookies xoxo says
Sorry I am late but yes! Can also make weeks ahead next time and freeze.
David says
A trick I used for the top layer was to flatten a 9 x 13 inch square of dough on a cutting board then flip it upside down above the marshmallow and scrape the top layer off the cutting board with a bench scraper causing it to fall down on the top of the marshmallow. Seems to have worked well tore in a few small places but hey i am going to eat it anyway and it will be delicious!
