Marry Me Chicken
This is the meal you make any night you want a proposal. I have been married 21 years and he proposed again when I made this! You may also love Tuscan Butter Shrimp with Tomato Spinach Cream Sauce and Pretzel Crusted Buffalo Chicken.

Marry Me Chicken
Ingredients
- 7 slices thin bacon
- 4 T. butter
- 1 T. olive oil
- 6 thin chicken cutlets
- 1 cup Wondra flour
- 5 garlic cloves chopped
- 1 large handful sliced mushrooms
- 2 cups chicken broth
- ¼ c. heavy cream
- ½ c. Parmigiano Reggiano cheese
- 1 sprig rosemary
- parsley chopped
- ¾ pound shells pasta cooked
- 2 T. butter
- salt
- 1 handful fresh baby spinach
Instructions
- In a large cast iron, cook bacon until crispy and lay bacon on paper towels to drain.
- Leave bacon grease in pan.
- Dredge chicken in wondra and pan fry in the bacon grease.
- Add 2 T. butter to the skillet and brown chicken on each side. Add some salt.
- Remove chicken to a plate once browned-does not need to be cooked through.
- To the skillet add the remaining 2 T. butter and sauté the garlic and mushrooms a few mins.
- Deglaze the pan with the broth.
- Add cream and cheese and bring up to a simmer.
- Return chicken to the skillet and lower heat to a very low simmer to cook the chicken through. Add fresh spinach to wilt.
- Add Rosemary and the cooked bacon, chopped up. (reserve 2 slices for garnish)
- Meanwhile, toss the cooked shells with 2 T. butter, salt and parsley and lay on platter.
- Lay the chicken on top and spoon the sauce over the top.
- Garnish with parsley and chopped bacon.
