Dessert Lasagna! These are the best! This one is one of the simplest and it is no bake! I saw a version of this made by my friend Holly over at Spend With Pennies. You must go check out her site-it is fabulous. Holly used fresh whipped cream in her ice box cake. You can totally do that here too but I took a little short cut and used cool whip. Serious hit with the kids! I dipped my cookies in a quick splash of milk which made this ready to dig into just 6 hours later!
You’ll Need:
Milk and Cookies Lasagna
Ingredients
- 2 packages Chips Ahoy Cookies
- 1 ½ cups milk used for dipping
- 2 containers Cool Whip
- Hot fudge sauce
Instructions
- Start a 11x7 pan off with a flat layer of cookies on the bottom. Remember, you are going to dip each cookie in the milk before laying it in the pan. Just a quick dip!
- Next spread on a layer of cool whip.
- Repeat this process until you reach the top! I made 3 cookie layers in my pan.
- Drizzle on some hot fudge and broken cookie pieces.
- Let sit in fridge at least 6 hours before serving.

I have made this for years now. Very popular at Graduation parties. Can be made days ahead of time. Just cover and pop them in the freezer. Take out about 20 minutes before ready to serve unless it is really hot weather then you might want to consider putting it on some ice. Fill a small kiddie pool with ice and you can put all your dishes that need to be kept chilled in it and you will then be assured that they will not spoil. My family always asks me to bring this dessert to our parties!!!!

I have been making this type dessert for family gatherings for the last 30 years..I put cream cheese in the cool whip and I use different cookies for different holidays…coconut for Easter…etc…I like to use shortbread with heath crunch and butterfinger bars crushed as a layer…very yummy dessert

How much cream cheese do you put in to how much cool whip? Did you dip the cookies first? Are they mushy

One block of cream cheese to 1 cool whip container is what I tried. It’s a little thick so when you spread over soft wet cookies they tend to smear but it’s delicious so I just spread it with my fingers instead of a spatula. I tried my recipe using one cool whip as is and 1 mixed w/the cream cheese just as a tester. Everyone loved it. Try out to see what you and your family prefer.

How far in advance can I make this and then refrigerate? Would the night before be ok for a 6:00pm dinner? Thanks!

I think that would work well!

Made a day ahead of an event I was going to for the woman’s club at my church. It went over so we’ll, I could overhear them saying to go get some before it’s gone to each other!
